Don't Snooze On A Good Day!
The key to a successful, productive, positive life is a proper morning routine. Now, we know that there are some out of this world early birds out there who just seem to have it altogether but this is a more practical morning that anyone can follow, whether you’re new to this or a pro. 😉
1. You Snooze You Lose!
Some people have a natural wake up alarm but this is for those who solely rely on the alarm setup on their phone. There is a 5-second rule that will help making the ‘get up’ process smoother. It’s simple, once your alarm rings, you have 5 seconds for your feet to be planted on the floor. Very self-explanatory actually.
2. Write to get Right!
Start the morning 5-minute journaling, where you’re just writing out your thoughts straight without second guessing and spell or grammar checking. Set a timer for 5 minutes and write! When you run out of writing juice, scribble until your juice replenishes.
3. Hydrate & Read!
Your body is thirsty after long hours of deprivation so this is the time to hydrate with some water or ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) water! Make sure to try and keep the water warm or room temp to wake your organs up! While you’re here, make it a habit to take 30 minutes to squeeze in a proper reading sesh. Whether it’s a chapter in your self-help book or a blog, remember to feed the brain the proper content before it tries to handle everything else.
4. Skincare Routine!
At this time, if you are a morning shower person you can totally hop in and do your skin care routine in there but if not, feel free to take your favorite cleanser and lather away! Now here at Sophie & Hailee we’re not skin care experts so we would not be able to recommend specific products since everyone’s face and texture is so unique, but what we can stand by whole heartedly is SUNSCREEN! Always and we mean ALWAYS protect your face from the sun and harmful environment and wear sunscreen even, if you plan to stay in for the day.
5. Breakfast of Champs!
Let’s kick off the most important meal of the day with a hearty meal to give you the energy you will need for the day! Be sure that somewhere in your dish you include Spinach since it is the easiest way to incorporate Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, iron, folate, and potassium.
